All Posts, Facebook, Tutorials

Theresa with iBrand Your Business shows you how to create a Facebook Cover Photo and Thumbnail for absolutely free using online tools available to everyone. Make sure to also check out our other tutorial on How to Create a Business Page on Facebook.

IMPORTANT: Since this tutorial was published, online tools change, but still great tools. Facebook also changed.  Please be careful not to put anything at the bottom of your picture as you can see here (in red).  Facebook Timeline Pages will cover your bottom portion of your graphic or picture (almost 1 inch at the bottom of  your page) with their buttons and the title of your page.  If you are having trouble figuring out where to go in the video, please read these tips below to get you through the tutorial.

Sample of Timeline

1. At the beginning Theresa talks about a Collage for Facebook. It is still there, however, PicMonkey.com when you click on “Collage” you will be required to select your photos first.  You can upload any photos you’d like but not have to use them.  Follow the video and it will show you the rest.

2. There is no longer a “Click to Open” as stated right about 2:35 on the video. In PicMonkey.com’s home page hover over “Edit” and click on “Computer” to upload your photos.  Follow the video from there.

3.  For Pixlr.com right around 4:35; simply click on the first box.  Pixlr Editor and click the button “Launch Web App.” Follow the video from there.

Everything else should be pretty much the same.  If you are following the video step by step and you have a “Gradient” image that you want to upload, please follow step 2.

If you see any other discrepancies with the video please do not hesitate to let us know.

PLEASE TEST YOUR IMAGE BEFORE CLOSING OUT OF PICMONKEY.  You MUST have a pickmonkey.com paid membership to save your masterpiece.  So please check if you are happy with your design by uploading it to your Facebook Page FIRST!  You can always replace it on Facebook but not using PicMonkey.com’s FREE version.

To Your Success!
